I have read the book State of Fear by Michael Crichton (the author of Jurassic Park) and have really enjoyed it! It’s about a company that wants to sue the National Environmental Company of the United States for starting global warming. Supposedly, after the case, global warming should end and everyone should live ‘happily ever after.’ But when the day of judging the case comes, all companies disappear and a huge chunk of the population dies. A Japanese intelligence agent tries to piece together different suspicious events that happened before the day of the case. What happened? How? Why?
A very suspenseful, informative, and mysterious read! I would recommend this book for ages twelve and up.
