Happy HourWho says the weekend has to wait until Friday or Saturday? The local merchants at Del Mar’s Flower Hill Promenade have officially proclaimed that summer weekends now start on Thursday…tell your boss!

The sunlit courtyards of Flower Hill will come alive with music and special features & events everywhere you look, each Thursday this summer. Starting on July 23rd, shoppers strolling the relaxing walkways will be treated to the ambience of nature punctuated by the extraordinary music of flamenco guitarist, David de Alva. De Alva, a native of Spain, is an extraordinarily talented classical guitarist who will delight visitors with his sensual sounds starting at 3:30pm. He will perform adjacent to the site of Unveiling Ceremony for the incredible nine-foot by five-foot Floral Mosaic Mural located north of the Clocktower elevators at Flower Hill. Guests attending the 4pm unveiling ceremony will also enjoy refreshments and yummy baked goods courtesy of Milton’s Bakery & Delicatessen.

As the music wafts throughout the shopping center, each Flower Hill merchant offers you something different – from free copies of “soon-to-be-published works” at Book Works” to Ayurvedic drink samples at Bathe, to an Artists’ Reception at Enchanted Gallery and wonderful trunk shows at Adornments, and Flower Hill Flowers.

You may save some money, find a new designer, meet a talented artist, or discover a delectable new wine or cheese – wherever you look you will find a tempting new item. The weekends start early at Flower Hill, each Thursday, from July 23rd to Sept. 3rd.

All Welcome!
